Indian Orthodox Wedding at The Hillside Estate

SHARE STORY:

Nincy and Jerry’s love story is one you’d think comes from a rom-com plot. They met when they were kids, at 9 and 11 respectively. Their parents were family friends and they had planned a vacation together to Disney World as all their kids were all around the same age. Fast forward 20 years later, Jerry messaged Nincy on Instagram and asked her out to coffee. They met in the afternoon and talked until they were informed that the cafe was closing. They had talked for hours! It was love at “second sight”.

Nincy was very inspired by Paris and their wedding was planned during COVID when traveling was not really an option. She wanted her guests to feel like they were whisked away to Europe and had a dream that she would walk down an aisle full of blooms, as if she was walking through a field of flowers. It was a really special moment, filled with romance and joy.

This was a Christian Indian Orthodox ceremony, so the bride and groom’s sides were reversed. There were a few rituals done from prayers over the couple to placing the saree over the bride’s head by the priest and blessed to name a few. Aside from that, there were a lot of personal touches as Nincy’s sister is immensely talented with stationery and signage (menus, table numbers, seating charts), and worked closely with her to bring her vision to life. It was also a day filled with choreographed dancing from the bride and groom entering, to one with Jerry and his groomsmen and Nincy and her bridesmaids. There was never a slow moment on the dance floor and guests were celebrating well into the night.

The favorite part of the day for them were the ones they got to spend with the other. It was important to them that they saw the reception space before it opened up, so they could have a quiet moment and take it in. Additionally, they had a private dinner and a last dance so they had time to take a breather and process that they were finally married after months and months of planning!

We did ask Nincy if she had any advice for other couples and here’s what she said:

“Get a planner or coordinator! You won’t regret it. I am very type A and was super hands on when picking vendors so I did month of coordination with Keestone Events and it was the best decision I ever made. 1 month was just enough time for my planner, Stephanie, to come in and understand my vision. There was such relief handing over everything to her and knowing I wouldn’t have to go back and forth on emails and calls with my other vendors. It gave me a month to relax and I trusted her to make sure every single thing we had planned over the last year came together and she did not disappoint!”

Nincy was also gracious enough to leave Stephanie a wonderful review:

“I don’t even know where to begin. Stephanie went above and beyond as a planner. We got month of planning services and from day 1 I felt like my stress of wedding planning reduced significantly. She made the final month of planning go so smoothly and stress free. The wedding day went so flawlessly and everyone was raving about how great it was. Wouldn’t have been possible without Keestone and Stephanie!”
