Sarah, one of our lead Dallas event planners, put this maternity shoot together. Sarah said, “aside from the Old World concept we did for Quynh, I was inspired to do a very clean, minimally styled session with Quynh and her husband, Ben. Often times in shoots, you see a lot of flowers and paper goods. However, I do think it’s important that fathers are included in sessions as well, especially when it’s a maternity one since it does take a village.”

The premise behind this shoot is a simple one, with natural light and clean lines really being the focal point. We wanted to showcase the couple’s style in an understated way and simply highlight the joy of becoming new parents. To do so, it was important to us that we shoot where Quynh + Ben would be most comfortable – at their family home.

We also wanted to bring about a sense of intimacy by pulling in stuffed animals from their childhood and pairing that with accessories the couple often wears. It serves as a sweet reminder of how they can pass on their favorite toys to baby Yip in the near future. We hope you love the images as much as we do!
