You know as planners we love our checklists and spreadsheets, and I was over the moon to find out that that same love applies to our bride in today’s blog, Kelly. She is an accountant so she may just love those spreadsheets a bit more! She was all over any check list and knocked things out left and right, which made planning a breeze. It also helped that the vendors she chose are amazing and it does truly make life easier since should anything not go according to plan, you can be sure that you have a great team on your end ensuring that they will do everything in their power to make the the day will go as smoothly as it can possibly be!
Now, onto their wedding story:
Kelly and Chris met in college, and both bonded over a love of food and sense of adventure. For their wedding, Kelly was drawn to a boho garden vibe with dusty blues and greens as the foundation for their wedding colors. To complete the look, her bridal party wore flowy dresses paired with floral crowns, while Kelly looked perfect in a Hayley Paige gown.
For their ceremony, they chose to incorporate pouring soil from both their households into a bonsai tree. Random fact: bonsai trees are miniature Japanese trees and decades will pass with it barely growing. My grandfather had some in Malaysia for as long as I have been alive, and every time I go back, there hasn’t been any change that I can discern. Maybe a leaf or two has grown. It definitely represents longevity!
It was a beautiful, summer wedding with free-flowing alcohol, an plethora of food and an abundance of love that surrounded the couple that day. Kelly + Chris’s wedding ended with the couple leaving the venue with a sparkler exit, before getting into a vintage car and driving off into the night. We have been so fortunate to meet some of the nicest people!
