Cecilia + Wes did not have a typical wedding. They reached out in December, needing full planning for their March wedding, three months later.

Their intimate wedding of 35 is a favorite to date, not just because they did things their way, but because they did so with so much style! It was a casual yet refined affair with guests being treated to one of the most beautiful nights we’ve had in Dallas in the spring.

To start, the couple had their wedding entirely outdoors at the impeccably manicured gardens of Marie Gabrielle, with their ceremony site facing the water feature. After guests strolled over to cocktail hour to a side of the garden, the ceremony arch was flipped into the garden grove, that fit their guest count perfectly. Since the duo aren’t dancers, nor are their friends, they opted instead to have guests head over to a lounge in the garden set up specifically with multiple hookah sets and an attendant onsite to assist.

The night cumulated with a surprise performance for guests by an entertainer who sang and played live music throughout the night, with a big screen behind him that magnified his movements. It was the most laid back experience, with all the guests lounging and chatting with each other in the lounge. What separated the performer and the lounge was that same water feature where their ceremony was initially. It was a good forty feet across with the water between the after-party and performer, and it ended up being a surreal and beautiful end to the day. At the end of the night, the couple were able to enjoy a private last dance before being sent off with a sparkler exit.
