What a year 2014 has been! It has been such a memorable year where so much has happened both personally and with Keestone Events.
Here’s a glimpse into what 2014 has held, with a few favorite images.
Thuy + Brady got married on a beautiful day in Katy, Houston at Agave Road. To get a quick gist of what the wedding was like, check out their amazingly fun highlight video here.

Lisa + Tony were married in an intimate backyard wedding at their gorgeous home in Southlake, Texas. It was also where I had the best food tuck cuisine ever!

Libby + Brandon, our handsome military couple were wed in the Farmers Branch Rose Gardens in April. It was the perfect time as the flowers were in full bloom and just made for such a pretty backdrop.

Willie + Karl had such a fun chemistry theme for their wedding at the Hilton Arlington. This was so fitting as Willie is a chemistry teacher and had beakers of all shapes and sizes as centerpieces.

Alaa + Matt are one gorgeous couple and they had a truly lovely affair at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas. This was a slightly different take on previous events we had done since this was a segregated Palestinian engagement. Everyone looked amazing that night and they sure knew how to keep a dance floor going!
Bergan + Andrew were married at the Texas Discovery Gardens in a wedding that held so many personalized details and handmade elements that really spoke to their characters. There was so much love that day for these two!

October hit and was our busiest month of the year with four weddings. We had one classy couple, Grace + Andrew at Belo Mansion.

Kate and Jordan who were married at the Arboretum with the most fabulous groom’s cake – Reveille, Texas A&M’s beaaautiful collie mascot (I might be biased).
Anh + John were married at the Hilton Anatole in a lovely outdoor ceremony and equally gorgeous indoor reception.
Keely + William had one seriously FUN wedding at the Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth. This bride had favors she grew herself with lots of love. The succulents below are what she grew from scratch so all 200+ of her guests could walk away with these babies.
Jenn + Dave’s wedding took place at Classic Oaks Ranch. This rustic venue was so perfect for this laid back couple. This was where I learned of a few different British traditions (Dave is from the UK and most of his guests flew in) such as everyone sitting Indian style on the dance floor and rowing an imaginary boat.
We ended our last wedding of the year on the highest note possible! Mey + Jason‘s wedding almost didn’t happen when a hurricane devastated much of the Baja California area where their event was to take place. In an incredible display of perseverance and resilience, those affected came together to make this day happen and I couldn’t have been more honored to be a part of this! Blog post on their heartbreakingly beautiful big day coming soon!

This year, we focused more on weddings but did take on a few smaller events like a Vegas themed casino party and a baby shower for our good friend, Allen of Allen Tsai Photography!

We also took part in a few styled shoots at the Omni Mandalay Bay, Arlington Hall and Arbor Hill.

On a more personal note, in the middle of the year, Austin surprised me by planning a very sneaky proposal and I found myself engaged. This wedding planner got tricked! It is definitely surreal being on the other side as a bride and I’m not sure I like all the emotions it comes with. Who knew so many (happy) tears could flow from picking a wedding dress!

We also bought a house and I have learned what it’s like to rake incessantly to be a good neighbor and keep up with my overachieving street (next house I buy will have no trees whatsoever, and a yard filled entirely with concrete so I never have to deal with weeds again!!!). You know you’re in the suburbs when each time the door opens, a bug flies in.
And! Maddie, one of our planners in Keestone got engaged just a few days ago! The biggest congratulations to this talented woman.
2014, you have been so good. I am excited for what 2015 has in store and cannot wait to show you all what we have up our sleeves for the new year!
