I need to start off this post talking about the groom’s magnificent cake! It was a showstopper from the get-go and stayed true to his personality. Being in finance, Jeremy has a strong fondness for Excel, spreadsheets and all the formulas that go with it. I loved the sense of humor this duo had as his groom’s cake was an Excel spreadsheet…of their actual wedding budget.

Now let me rewind to the beginning of the day. It was an unforgettable wedding for multiple reasons.

While they had a beautiful plan in the works, it wouldn’t be Dallas without a random, heavy thunderstorm that appeared from out of the middle of nowhere. You really see people’s personalities come out during the unexpected and this group handled things all in stride. One couldn’t have asked for a better bridal party during the pouring rain, with laughter and jokes throughout!

Based on the layout of the venue, the bride and bridesmaids had to walk for a solid few minutes in heels and rain to the ceremony site. After consulting the weather apps and radar, it looked like there would be a lull right at 6:10 pm and thankfully, there was! You can bet we made the most of that break that slowed the monsoon down to a slight drizzle.

Carolyn’s uncles paid a special part in her ceremony by escorting her (as originally planned) to the doors of A Tasteful Place (ATP). From there, her mother walked with her down the aisle.

The cocktail hour was originally set to be outdoors and as if on clockwork, right after the ceremony, the rain stopped! I also have to give a shoutout to the ushers in this situation, who escorted guests during the long walk from the entrance to A Tasteful Place (ATP), the newest building to grace the Dallas Arboretum. #SouthernGentlemen
