On January 30th of this year, The Brides of North Texas had their 10 year anniversary. It was so humbling (and flattering!) when they reached out to ask our Dallas event planners to plan the celebration at Union Station. The estimate was that 750 guests would attend so we hit the ground running!

The last few weeks of 2018 were a whirlwind trying to pull things together with many curveballs thrown our way. Real talk, Molly, – partner-in-crime, and I had a lot of sleepless hours and very long days. #MyGlamorousEventPlanningLife

All this served to make for the most fulfilling moment when the sponsors and partners came to set up for the event the day before. I do not have an adequate vocabulary to express the elation and gratitude I felt, especially once everything was completed.

Planning behind-the-scenes for this and having the vendors come together was the very definition of teamwork and showed me that the people that I worked with for this event are those that I would like around me for a while. We worked with some of the best, and I mean, the VERY best, people in the industry who were willing to buckle down and do whatever it takes to make sure things go off without a hitch.

We had various focal points to frame the space, from a 32 ft long photo wall area with three different vignettes for pictures, to a 40 ft stage that fit three video walls and band, to the note wall installation of over 3000 pieces of paper and tornado of balloons reaching up to the 30+ foot ceiling of the venue. Various pieces of furniture and linens were custom made for the event, with a seemingly endless run of food and drink. Oh, this was also the first time that the venue allowed vinyl to be pasted on its massive windows to make a 10 foot tall statement which, after having done multiple events there, was one of my biggest highlights!

TL;DR: This was a big project to take on, but seeing the final product is always the best feeling. Also, we work with the best people. Pictures below.
