Brittany and Reid’s wedding was the second one we embarked on in 2020 before all the chaos with Covid hit, and all our spring weddings were postponed. We are so thankful we got to plan and celebrate this couple’s special day, with their ceremony at Christ the King and reception in Park City Club! Tzahhia was the lead planner for the couple and had spent weeks planning with the bride and her mother, Kathryn.
Kathryn is well-versed with events and has an eye for detail. Together with Britany, planning ensued to ensure the day was a more personal and fun affair for all involved. The goal was to have an intimate dinner party feel, which was no small feat for their larger guest count. To usher that more cozy feel, the room was filled with lots of candlelight while instrumental dinner music played during the reception, with monogrammed napkins at each place setting and a monogrammed dance floor.
The couple also had special touches throughout that were unique to them/their families. For instance, the silver loving cup, which has been passed down for generations in the family, was placed on their cake table. Each couple’s name gets engraved on the cup when they are married; it holds Brittany’s parents’ names, her grandparents’ names, and so on. There is a running joke between Brittany and her father where a Troll doll seems to appear out of nowhere at special events throughout her life. It was no different on her wedding day, and at her place setting, the Troll doll decided to make a surprise appearance there!
Brittany and Reid met freshman year of college, and reconnected senior year at a football game. As a subtle nod to their alma mater, OU macaron sandwiches were brought out when the OU song began to play. Another fun touch the couple brought out had to do with Mardi Gras. Since their wedding fell right around that timeframe, masks and beads were passed out during dancing, which brought in another level of excitement and made for a real festive feel!
We couldn’t have been more grateful to receive this email from Kathryn after the wedding. It meant a lot since she deals with events herself!

“Dear Sarah,
I wanted you to know how simply fabulous, kind, professional and beyond-stellar, Tzahhia and her team were on Saturday. I truly had no idea how fast the day flies and had it not been for them, I am sure I would have been stressed and totally discombobulated with details and logistics to handle. The wedding ceremony was spectacular. Sitting in the church with the light streaming through the stained glass windows, listening to classical music, and surrounded by loved ones gave me a glimpse of what heaven must be like. The reception was a party BIG TIME, and guests stayed long into the night to see the couple off. The team was so on-point and at every turn, you were met with their kind smiles and calm demeanor. It was a delight. You should be very proud of the team you have curated. Before I sign off – I have a question: do you have any suggestions for a vendor who can preserve her bouquet and also a vendor who can clean her dress? I want to make sure they are handled properly.
Again – thank you and please pass along my compliments and deepest appreciation to your team. They are magnificent! The best in the business, I’m sure! And not to mention, they were totally some of the kindest young women I have met! Treasures, each and every one!
All the best”
