Set up of a wedding ceremony at Marie Gabrielle with clear acrylic ghost chairs within a grove of trees with string lights hanging and more lights wrapped around the base of each tree with a floral arch in the front

Meet Halley and Nick! Tzahhia, one of our Dallas wedding planners, brought their wedding vision to life! Below is a bit more about the couple and their story, in her words. Scroll to the end of the post to see the review that Halley left for her!

“When Halley and Nick had their first date at Zazie, a restaurant in San Francisco, they met a couple who wished them luck and for them to find happiness. That couple would have been thrilled to know that five years later, Nick would be asking Halley to marry him at that same restaurant.

As Halley and Nick live in San Francisco, we got to know each other through a series of video calls where I learned that they love good food, good wine, and initially considered getting married in wine country! I also learned that Halley has a heart of gold. You know she is one of a kind, when she has been the friend who planned not three, not five, but nine different bachelorette parties.

Ultimately, the couple decided to be married in Dallas. Halley wanted their wedding day to have an elegant feel and the beautiful gardens at Marie Gabrielle certainly set the stage. With this in mind, we landed on a rich color palette of black, emerald green, rust, accented by rose gold and yellow ochre. A close friend would officiate the ceremony, in an intimate and romantic service under the glow of the romantic bistro lights at Marie Gabrielle.

As a nod to their idea of having a wine country wedding and their love for wine, guests enjoyed a charcuterie board during cocktail hour and an incredible cake that looked like an actual bottle of wine and cheese board (see for yourself below)!

As their wedding day approached, Texas decided to throw them its favorite (and unwelcome) surprise, known as unpredictable Dallas weather. That weekend, a cold front came so we reverted to Plan B. Instead of having an outdoor reception, we decided to keep the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors while the sun still provided some warmth, and moved the reception outside. Luckily, the restaurant boasts floor to ceiling windows that offered a beautiful view of the gardens during reception as the sun set. The evening was perfect and beautifully captured by the talented Kristen Marie Parker, who flew in from Seattle to capture this special day.”

Thank you Halley, for leaving such wonderful words for us!

“When I met with Sarah for the first time, I let her know that I was looking for someone who would help keep me on track and would bring elegance to our ideas. We were planning our wedding in Dallas from our home, San Francisco, so being able to quickly place trust in our planner was a huge factor in our decision.

After that call, Sarah introduced me to Tzahhia and I cannot express how incredibly grateful I am to have worked with her. Tzahhia created a design board for me early on in our planning process so I could narrow down colors and decor. I really wanted to incorporate black into my color scheme without it being too formal and she pulled it off perfectly!

Her patience is second to none as I’m indecisive and my husband and I are polar opposites in every way (especially style). She provided me with florist recommendations (Jubilee Flower Co. – outstanding), linen ideas (BBJ – great quality) and support in selecting many other vendors. She even met with a few of our vendors on my behalf because it was tough for me to travel back and forth.

Leading up to the wedding I can honestly say, I had no stress or worries because Tzahhia and her team were on top of everything. They were available throughout all of the planning via email or phone. Our wedding was the absolute best day of our lives and we still talk about how Tzahhia made our dreams a reality. If you are in need of a planner I highly recommend Keestone and Tzahhia – they are professional, provide incredible quality and care, and are a ton of fun to work with!”
