Meet Ladye + Mario! Sarah, one of our lead Dallas wedding planners, worked with the couple to plan their beautiful wedding at Warwick Melrose in Dallas.
Their team of vendors was one for the books! Warwick Melrose was absolutely incredible, with its brand new ballroom, and how much they did. They provided all the tables, chairs, linens, dance floor and staging – a planner’s dream! The florist, Joche Events knocked it out of the park for this couple! And the dueling pianos..this was our first time having dueling pianos and it was a blast! The dance floor was packed all night!

Throughout the wedding day, there were several moments that stood out. While taking wedding party pictures, a little boy ran up and gave Ladye the biggest hug. It was such a sweet and impromptu moment caught on camera! Prior to guests entering the reception, Ladye and Mario got a sneak peek of the finished ballroom. To see their faces light up and Ladye’s tears of happiness, was incredibly fulfilling. It was an honor to plan for this sweet couple!

Congratulations, Ladye and Mario!

Tell us about your love story – how did you meet?

Mario and I met on Bumble, and our first date was at Mi Cocina, but ironically we found out afterward that we had mutual friends!

What was your vision for the wedding?

My vision was mainly focused on everyone having fun. I wanted our guests to enjoy the dinner and cocktails, as well as the entertainment which is why we chose a dueling piano band. As our plans emerged, I was really excited with our floor plan and the flowers. Our floor plan was unique and special, accommodating all guests in a really inclusive layout and it led to the “party” (aka the dance floor) getting started right away. And the floral was over-the-top in my opinion- it exceeded every expectation or vision I could have imagined.

What was your favorite part of the day?

I truly cannot think of one specific “favorite” part of the day… I loved every second and wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Were there any sentimental moments/items incorporated to the wedding?

The signature cocktail incorporated our pup Chloe and we had a special cocktail sign that had a painting of her on it and was titled “Chloe’s carajillo”. Our guests are still talking about the cocktail, even a month after our wedding!

What advice do you have for other couples/brides-to-be?

Soak up every minute… the day goes by in the blink of an eye. I was so glad that I focused on spending quality time with my bridesmaids the day-of, as well as family. I promised myself I would not waste a minute “worrying” and I stuck to that- and I am so glad I did!
