Sarah, one of our lead Dallas wedding planners, said this about Kristin and Wil’s wedding at Union Station:
I see many weddings, but this one will forever hold a special place in my heart. The word that immediately comes to mind when reflecting back on Kristin and Wil’s wedding, is by far, JOY. (Yes, that sort of joy that has to be in all-caps!) The sheer happiness that radiated from the couple, their families and friends was contagious. It’s the best feeling when a couple just steps back with abandon and thoroughly enjoys the entire day, from start to finish. Instead of the sentimental letter reading that one typically expects, both had huge belly laughs while reading each other’s writing! #Goals
The fact that Wil is a pilot only added onto the fun with subtle travel-themed touches, from having custom made table numbers that were airport codes instead of the usual numerics and place cards that were luggage tags. Union Station was the perfect venue for the couple as it is a historic building in Dallas that was once a train station.
To complement on the history of the venue, vintage items such as luggage trunks, globes and old books were utilized in unique ways. For instance, the trunks were stacked on top of each other and used as the cake table. Another trunk was used to house gifts while the globe was placed by the books along the escort card table as a tongue-in-cheek way of gaining knowledge through travel.
Both are genuine, wonderful souls and it’s easy to see that in the images. It seemed that their guests shared the same happiness as the couple and the dance floor was packed all night long, until Kristin and Wil’s exit.
