Meet Elise + Carl! Sarah, one of our Dallas wedding planners had the pleasure of planning their wedding day.
The joy that Elise + Carl had in the months leading up to their wedding day (let’s not even get started on the actual day itself!) was infectious. When a couple is genuinely excited about the process and gives themselves permission to enjoy the journey, it helps fuel everyone else involved too. When the day finally arrived after all the weeks of planning, to say the couple was ready could possibly be the understatement of the century.
Elise is a planner at heart and truly understands that details are what make the day. She put so much thought into those aspects so that whoever attended could see immediately that it wasn’t your typical wedding.
Take for instance, the gift exchange where Ben, Elise’s brother and his fiancé, Kayla, played a large role in. Ben took Carl’s gift for Elise, while Kayla took Elise’s for Carl. From there, both Kayla and Ben met each other and exchanged those gifts. Then, with Elise’s gift in his hand, Ben brought it to Carl and vice versa. It’s a small detail but one that has a lot of symbolism behind it that includes family and family-to-be!
Elise has a fun bohemian streak in her style and bought Moroccan poufs and a rug to help frame her seating chart. Not only did this show her personality, the couple was able to use these items in their home after as well. For their seats at the head table, Elise brought in a Moroccan wedding blanket as a throw for the couple which tied in the rest of the décor.
She’s also a fan of crystals and at each place card for the head table, had crystal placeholders. Favors were sage, an incense.
Since it was an outdoor ceremony, a drink station was placed along with fans that doubled as programs and tissues where guests could help themselves. There was a late night snack of corn dogs and tater tots which had guests squealing with nostalgia and delight. Later on, guests were surprised with a firework show and sparkler exit to end the night. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding at The White Sparrow and one of our favorites to date.
Both Elise and Carl are undeniably head over heels in love with the other and it was so apparent to all who were present. It was the biggest pleasure to have to known them both and we will miss planning for this wonderful couple!
Below is the review Elise wrote. Thank you, thank you!
“We literally interviewed 4-5 different planners in the DFW area before I met Sarah. Hiring Sarah was the absolute best decision we made throughout our wedding planning process. She is so kind, thoughtful, detail-oriented (HER SPREADSHEETS ARE AMAZING), and truly invested in her clients and the planning process.
I always tell my husband that I am so glad we had a 17 month engagement because I got to spend so much time with Sarah and I’m beyond blessed to say that a friendship grew from it. Sarah brought our vision to life and we were able to create a plan that worked with our exact needs! If you’re considering hiring Keestone Events for your wedding or any event, there is no need to continue your search. THEY ARE AMAZING!!!”
Fun fact: four months later, Tzahhia was the planner for Kayla + Ben, Elise’s now sister-in-law and brother! You can read more about that wedding here.
Another fun fact: this couple were models for us in an English Farmhouse themed wedding and that was featured over at Grey Likes Weddings.
You can also check out a styled shoot we did at The White Sparrow here!
