Congratulations to newlyweds, Mary + Jerdal! This duo is well-loved by many (including this wedding planner), and the feeling of joy that day was so apparent that it almost seemed tangible. Their wedding at McDavid Studio of Bass Performance Hall was a beautiful affair, with stunning statement pieces and a band that kept the dance floor grooving all night long.

Fun fact: Mary had heard the band play at another event prior, and loved them so much that she booked them before finding a venue! If that isn’t the biggest compliment for a band, I don’t know what is.

I digress. I have to give the biggest shoutout to Mary for being so thoughtful and gracious to her vendors. Not only did she have gift bags to everyone, she also included all our logos in the back page of their ceremony program! When I brought that up, her words were (and I paraphrase): “Of course! I have to let everyone know about our vendors and get you all business!” I died a little bit inside from gratitude 😭

She was the most laid-back bride, really trusting her vendors to execute her vision. Both she and Jerdal have high paced jobs and she really knew how to prioritize. She would pace herself when it came to wedding day items, which really helped herself to not burn out. It was the biggest pleasure helping Mary and her mom plan her wedding. Mary got herself a fan for life!

“Let me start off by saying Sarah is absolutely the BEST! Sarah was my first and only wedding planner I met with because after our first meeting I was already hooked and didn’t need to look any further. Sarah often joked that I was pretty casual and made decisions quickly, but that’s because she was so great at making the environment and planning feel that way!

Every time I had a thought or idea, she instantly brought it to life and even better. She was SO organized with spreadsheets on spreadsheets that it made it easy to go through and KNOW everything was being taken care of. My husband and I loved every single vendor she recommended and it made it so great that they had all worked together previously. It made everything seamless and low stress.

On our wedding day I seriously had ZERO worries. Everything went perfectly. Every timeline was met and if there was an issue, I had no idea about it! Sarah made sure to check in on myself, my husband, our families, and the vendors to make sure everyone was doing great. Everyone from her team was amazing and made us feel so supported and special on our wedding which was such a bonus.

My mom and I often said to each other after every meeting with Sarah–“I don’t know how we would do this without her!” and it’s the truth. My husband and I had the best wedding day and planning experience and we owe it all to Sarah and Keestone Events!”
