Thuy + Joe wanted their wedding to be a multi-day celebration and we helped them plan it in just three months! You might remember Thuy + Joe from their California-style rehearsal dinner. If you haven’t seen it, be sure to view it here.

The wedding day was a packed one.

As Thuy is Vietnamese, she wanted to highlight her heritage during the celebration. We kicked things off with a tea ceremony earlier in the day, where a custom installation of fans was created by Vim & Venture specifically for the couple. It included a processional of groomsmen bearing gifts, introduction of family members from both sides, a quick prayer to ancestors, and presentation of gifts to the couple from family members. Guests were then treated to a sushi station and bento boxes after.

There were several personal elements incorporated into the tea ceremony. The pictures of loved ones that had passed on the gold shelves and the brother of the bride facilitating the tea ceremony added unique personal touches.
